Yes. All 22 versions are stored on your device, so you can read, search, compare versions, highlight and take notes without a connection. The internet is only used for Pexels photos (on the Today screen and in verse images), for ads and for usage statistics.
Is the app free?
Yes. The app is free and supported by ads. Every version and feature is included, with no subscription and no in-app purchases.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Just open the app and start reading. There’s no sign-up, and we never ask for an email or password.
Which Bible versions are in the app?
There are 22 versions in 10 languages. In English: the King James Version (KJV), the New International Version (NIV) and the English Standard Version (ESV). In Portuguese: NVI, NAA, ARA, ACF, ARC, NTLH, NVT and Almeida Século 21. In Spanish: Reina-Valera 1960, NVI and La Biblia de las Américas. There are also versions in German, French, Russian, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Esperanto.
When is the app coming to iPhone and iPad?
Soon. The app is already on Google Play for Android, and the iPhone and iPad version is on its way. As soon as it’s on the App Store, the link will show up here.
How does the verse of the day reminder work?
In Settings, turn on the reminder and choose the time and the days. On those days, you’ll get a notification with the verse of the day in the version you read. Just tap it to open.
What happens to my data?
Your highlights, bookmarks and notes stay on your device. Since there’s no account, the app never asks for your name, email or phone number. To stay free, it shows Google ads and collects usage statistics. You’ll find the details in the privacy policy.
What languages is the app in?
The menus are in English, Portuguese and Spanish, and they follow your device’s language. You can change it in Settings. The Bible texts come in 10 languages.
