Frequently asked questions

My verse of the day reminder didn’t arrive. What should I do?

First, open Settings and, under App, check that the switch on the Verse of the day row is on and that today is one of the days you picked. Then make sure notifications for the app are allowed in your device settings. Battery saver can delay the alert by a few minutes. The app keeps the next 14 reminders scheduled and renews them every time you open it, so if it’s been more than two weeks, open it once to renew them.

How do I change the reminder time or days?

In Settings, under App, tap the Verse of the day row (the one showing the time). Pick the time and the days: every day, weekdays, weekends or only the days you prefer. Then tap Save.

How do I switch Bible versions?

In the reader, tap the version abbreviation at the top of the screen and pick another one. You can search by abbreviation, name or language. You can also change it in Settings, under Default version.

How do I make the text bigger or change the theme?

In the reader, tap Appearance, the Aa icon at the top of the screen. There you can adjust the text size, the font, the line spacing and the theme: Paper, Sepia, Graphite or Night. With the automatic theme, the app follows your device’s light or dark mode.

Where are my highlights, bookmarks and notes?

In Settings, under Your Bible. You can filter highlights by color and sort the lists in Bible order or most recent first. Your reading history is there too.

Are my highlights and notes backed up?

Not yet. Since the app doesn’t use accounts, your highlights, bookmarks and notes are stored only on your device. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, they’ll be lost. For now, the app has no export or sync.

What needs an internet connection?

Very little. Reading, searching, comparing versions, highlighting and taking notes all work offline. The connection is used for Pexels photos (on the verse of the day and in verse images), for ads and for usage statistics. Offline, images can use colors, gradients or a photo from your gallery.

How do I create an image with a verse?

Tap the verse and choose Image. Pick a photo, a color or a picture from your gallery, adjust the text and format (Square, Portrait or Story), then tap Share or Save to gallery. On the Today screen, the Create image button does the same with the verse of the day.

How do I change the app’s language?

In Settings, tap App language and choose Português, English or Español, or Match device. This changes the menus and buttons. To read the Bible in another language, switch the version in the reader.

Why does the app have ads?

Ads keep the app free for everyone. For now, there’s no paid ad-free version. Where the law requires it, the app asks for your consent before showing personalized ads.
